The main idea of this program educates the youngsters, the leaders of the twenty first century, about the cultural heritage and the proud spirit of Korea. Through this program, families not only reaffirm their love and strong bonds, but also learn the true values of life. This program is designed for primary school students (grades 4~6), participating with their parents for a one-night stay at the Independence Hall of Korea.


 


Through this program, students will gain a better understanding of the Korean culture and take great pride in their cultural heritage by experiencing the Korean   traditional culture personally. This program is designed for elementary school students(grades 4~6), participating with their parents for a one night stay at  Independence Hall of Korea.


 


In an effort to promote Korean pride, young leaders of the twenty first century will learn about the patriotism of the ancestors taking field trips to many historical sites. This program is designed for the students of the junior-high schools for a three-day stay at the Independence Hall of Korea. The Independence Hall of Korea offered this program during the summer vacation time only, and the Cultural School program has been operated since 1990.


 


In order to teach correct Korean history in terms of overcoming national perils and Korean development, an essay contest for students from elementary to high school has been held since 1988. Essays about their visit to the Independence Hall of Korea are collected through October each year. The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Independence Hall of Korea award the selected essays.


 


The Independence Hall of Korea displays the full range of Korean history to promote national pride and historical awareness while ensuring the expansion of the Korean cultural infrastructure. History teachers carry out the mission of the Independence Hall of Korea through the special symposiums to discuss and share different ideas about the Korean history. As a liaison to historical society, the Independence Hall of Korea offers various educational programs that encompass a complete picture of Korean history. The symposiums have been held 11 times since 1988 and the total of 2,630 history teachers have been invited.


 


Celebrating the "Century of Culture", this program provides an opportunity for the young students to experience the cultural diversity comparing Korean popular culture with foreign cultures. During the program the students will achieve the ability to create a new tradition while understand Korean culture better. It is a program designed for middle school students and offers one-night stay at the Independence Hall of Korea.


 


Young students can learn the impregnable faith of the Korean people and reassure their loves for the country through the camping. At the historical sites, students can feel the vigil of Korean ancestors and experience the cultural enlightening. The Independence Hall of Korea can support and host programs for schools and organizations that need this special type of training program.


 


Since the opening, the Independence Hall of Korea has attracted visitors from all over the world. Korean people can have a wholesome experience and learn new things about Korean history. Foreign visitors can have a better understanding on the Korean history and the traditional culture. Specially qualified guides are available in every exhibition hall to provide guided tours around the Independence Hall and its' grounds.


 


Through this program, students have a chance to observe and describe every corner of this historical building in different perspectives to gain patriotism. Students from elementary to high school can join this jamboree. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Tourism Ministry, and the Independence Hall of Korea award the selected drawings.


 

The 35 years of colonization was one of the tragic times in Korean history. Korean people enjoyed 5000 years of prosperity before they had to resist just for mere survival. But no matter how severe the Japanese persecution had been, Korean people never surrendered or lowered their spirits. The Korean martyrs faced their deaths so bravely that they were the lights of Korean history in that dark era. To hear ideas of the Korean independence movements, special lectures are available for all the visitors and members of related organizations to teach the perseverance and faith of Korean people.


 

Various governmental departments, business corporations, and financial institutions have sent their members and staffs for the training programs to the Independence Hall of Korea. With special lectures on the Korean history and through spiritual training program, employees can gain the different perspectives of their work places and for their country. All the members of Chungmu Education Center and major travel agencies have taken this assigned program since 1996. In addition, the Korean Air Force Training Center, Central Civil Defense School of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Korean Damul School have also assigned staffs for the training programs to this center since 1997.
